The History of the Johnstown Flood
The history of the Johnstown Flood of 1889, at that time the worst natural disaster in the US as measured by loss of life, is little understood these days, but quite fascinating.
A group of about fifty wealthy 'robber barons' took over an old dam which had been used as a reservoir for a canal system, and used it to create a lake resort for their private pleasure. It served as a weekend retreat from the heat and noise of nearby Pittsburgh.
Prior to selling the dam to them, the owner, a Congressman Reilly who had purchased the abandoned reservoir from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, removed the discharge pipes from the dam and sold them for scrap, thereby eliminating any emergency water relief measures, excepting the spillway.
They constructed buildings, and cottages, and formed the Southfork Fishing and Hunting Club.
They screened the spillway in order to preserve the fish with which they stocked the lake. The screening tended to collect debris, and hamper the function of the spillway to relieve pressure on the dam caused by the occasional heavy rains.
Poorly maintained, the dam gave way, and wiped out the towns located down river. Having received no warning, many of the people who could have retreated to the nearby foothills were lost in the deluge.
The powerful members of the Club were never held to account because the law was interpreted to find no single member had been personally involved.
The Club itself was sold at auction to pay its mortgage to the banks. The litigants received nothing.
It would have been even worse if the wealthy had bought insurance on the lives and property of the towns below, in order to further profit from the tragedy, and had cut telegraph wires and warning whistles to maximize the damage, loss of life, and their profit.
And it would have been despicable if they had hired experts and newspapers to falsely lecture the public on the nature of dams, and how their concerns were misplaced and ridiculous. And if they had 'captured' the public officials and inspectors so that they would overlook and excuse the reckless disregard of the Club members for others.
I hope the lessons from this story from history are not lost on you.
When things don't make sense, that is often because there is deception involved. How can they be widespread destruction and crime, but no one is held accountable?
And it is easy to underestimate the brazenness with which wealthy and powerful people will game the system to cover up their wrongdoing. That is because most people themselves would not lie and cheat to profit from the misery of others, and they find such behavior to be almost inhuman.
It is natural perhaps to blame the victims. They should have known one might say. And how often can one be fooled before being blamed as a fool?
But most people, when faced with the uncertainty of conflicting stories, tend to accept the one that is put forward by the mainstream media, and backed by very important people.
This is especially true if it seems most like something they might do. But they forget that they themselves are not heartless sociopaths and well-practiced, almost pathologically proficient, con men who will say and do almost anything for money, without a twinge of conscience.
The Banks must be restrained, and the financial system reformed, with balance restored to the economy, before there can be any sustainable recovery.

The secretive Bilderberg Group is currently undergoing a major transformation that will see it and other high profile networks merge under the banner of Google as the elite accelerates its plan to consolidate its technocratic agenda.
This past weekend, Infowars reporters Paul Joseph Watson and Jon Scobie visited the luxury Grove Hotel in Watford, UK, site of the 2013 Bilderberg Group conference set to take place June 6-9, a clandestine annual gathering of over 100 of the world’s most influential power brokers in the fields of politics, academia, technology, business and banking.
The investigation was prompted by our sources, who advised us to visit the Grove in advance of Bilderberg 2013. This is part one of what promises to be a developing story as the pieces of the jigsaw fall into place backed up by years of Bilderberg tracking and research.What we discovered was groundbreaking and represents one of if not the most important development in Bilderberg’s 59 year history.
Put simply, Bilderberg is merging with Google under the stewardship of Google CEO Eric Schmidt, a regular Bilderberg attendee. Google’s annual Zeitgeist conference, which has been based at the Grove since 2007, immediately precedes the Bilderberg Group conference by a matter of days.
Backed up by prior research, we were able to confirm in conversations with hotel managers and others that the Grove is now a central base for Google’s agenda to control the global political and technological landscape.
The talk in the Grove is not of Bilderberg, that is barely a footnote, the real excitement centers around Google Zeitgeist, which was described by the London Independent as, “a cuddlier version of the Bilderberg Group, the supposedly shadowy network of financiers that holds a private annual assembly, recast in the image of our new tech masters.”
Bilderberg is indeed being recast as ‘Google-Berg’ – partly because of efforts on behalf of activists to tear away the veil of Bilderberg’s much cherished secrecy, and partly as a means of re-branding authoritarian, undemocratic secret gatherings of elites as trendy, liberal, feel-good philanthropic-style forums like Google Zeitgeist and TED.
In reality, behind the scenes Google is using such forums as proving grounds on which to form the consensus that shapes the globe. We were told directly that the organizers behind the so-called “Arab Spring,” which began in Tunisia and Egypt, which as we have documented is in fact a series of contrived western-backed color revolutions masquerading as organic uprisings, were recruited by Google and subsequently attended the Zeitgeist conference at the Grove.
It’s also well documented that the man responsible for kick-starting the “revolution” in Egypt, which led to the installation of a Muslim Brotherhood dictatorship which the west can now use as a justification for further intervention, was Google employee Wael Ghonim.
Google’s growing influence within both the British and American governments is also well documented. Eric Schmidt was a campaign advisor and a major donor to Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns. He was also reportedly offered the post of Treasury Secretary within the Obama administration. In Britain, Google representatives have met no less than 23 times with Conservative Party officials since the general election in 2010. David Cameron addressed the inaugural 2006 Zeitgeist conference before going on to become Prime Minister four years later. British Chancellor George Osborne paid a visit to Zeitgeist just weeks before he also attended Bilderberg 2011 in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
The crossover between Zeitgeist and Bilderberg has deepened in recent years, with the London Telegraph comparing the power of the Google confab to the World Economic Forum in Davos, “attracting figures of global significance to talk and to network.”
Former US President Bill Clinton, groomed by the Bilderberg Group, has also given speeches at Zeitgeist, as has fellow Bilderberg attendee Prince Charles. Another Telegraph report described Zeitgeist as, “one of the most high-powered gatherings of business leaders, thinkers and those that are considered to generally shape the global future.”
Google is clearly positioning itself to become a force more powerful than governments in controlling and monitoring people’s behavior across the globe through all manner of different means, from cars that drive themselves (and are constantly tracked by a centralized Google database), to Google Glass which is akin to having a Google microchip in your forehead, to Google’s deep involvement in manipulating mass movements through social media as they did in Egypt and Tunisia.
The Grove Hotel is a perfect staging ground for such machinations given its role in World War 2 as a “secret wartime HQ for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway” named “Project X”.
The direction in which this is all heading can clearly be surmised from remarks made by Eric Schmidt himself, who has repeatedly made it clear that he thinks privacy is a relic of the past and plans to turn Google into the ultimate Big Brother that makes George Orwell’s 1984 look like a children’s fairy tale.
“We don’t need you to type at all. We know where you are. We know where you’ve been. We can more or less know what you’re thinking about.”“I actually think most people don’t want Google to answer their questions [...] They want Google to tell them what they should be doing next.”“If you have something that you don’t want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn’t be doing it in the first place.”“We need a [verified] name service for people,” he said. “Governments will demand it.” (Chinese-style Internet control).“We know everything you’re doing and the government can track you.”“We will know your position down to the foot and down to the inch over time…Your car will drive itself, it’s a bug that cars were invented before computers…you’re never lonely…you’re never bored…you’re never out of ideas.”
In numerous speeches, including those made at Google Zeitgeist, Schmidt has outlined his vision for a collectivist, permanently networked world in which individuality and privacy are ostracized and those who refuse to sign up to the new religion of transhumanism are shunned as sub-human savages.
That is the primary agenda now being formulated by Google Zeitgeist luminaries in concert with the Bilderberg Group, which shares many of the same members.
A Busy Time at the Grove
Our source told us that there were “four or five big conferences” coming up at the Grove in May, June and July, but intimated that Google Zeitgeist was clearly considered the biggest, with the 227 room hotel not even large enough to accommodate all the guests and administrative staff required to be in attendance, adding that they had to be put up in London hotels.
Huge temporary structures, watched by security guards, were also being constructed on grounds near to the hotel when we visited. These are set to be used for Google’s ‘Big Tent’ event, which is a more public showcase than their private ‘Zeitgeist’ confab. Whether the facilities will also be used by the Bilderberg Group remains to be seen.
The source emphasized that Grove staff had been told not to disclose any information about the Zeitgeist conference and that Google only released information they wanted the public to know. However, the upcoming confab was the talk of the bar and both employees and guests were clearly excited about it.
The source said that security for the event was the same as when heads of state would visit and that the hotel was coordinating with “state security” to run the conference, which inevitably means that taxpayer money will be used to fund the operation, as it is admittedly being used to provide security for Bilderberg. He added that the likes of Google and Bilderberg chose the Grove as a venue because security was far easier to provide compared to hotels in London which are surrounded by high-traffic streets.
Bilderberg’s 2013 Agenda
In terms of Bilderberg’s agenda for the 2013 confab, early indications from our inside source have thrown up a number of different issues that will be up for discussion before Bilderberg instructs its members to implement the agreed upon consensus in each of their fields of influence.
Bear in mind that the motivation behind Bilderberg’s scheming can probably best be encapsulated by remarks made by Bilderberg luminary Henry Kissinger which recently came to light thanks to Wikileaks.
“Before the Freedom of Information Act, I used to say at meetings, ‘The illegal we do immediately; the unconstitutional takes a little longer.’ [laughter] But since the Freedom of Information Act, I’m afraid to say things like that,” said Kissinger.
At least some if not all of the following issues will be discussed and agreed upon at Bilderberg 2013.
- Targeting Iran’s nuclear processing facilities for destruction via air strikes within the next 3 years if Tehran refuses to give up its nuclear program.
- Prolonging the war in Syria by arming the rebels and overturning recent military victories by Assad’s forces.
- The threat of a global pandemic, caused in part by rising resistance to antibiotics, which given the role of some of the pharmaceutical companies represented at Bilderberg in “accidentally” releasing viruses is somewhat rich.
- The manufacturing revolution of 3D printing and ways to control it and prevent the democratization of production.
- So-called “cyber resilience,” which means more state control over the Internet. There is much talk of “Digital Wildfires” – they are scared stiff about losing control over information dissemination.
- Setting up a Ministry of Truth for the Internet similar to that advocated by Bill Clinton. Controlling what can be published on the Internet.
- Advancing so-called “smart cities” that spy on every aspect of public behavior. Installing systems like Intellistreets that record street conversations. Rolling out the landscape of the technocracy.
- The threat caused to social stability by declining living standards and wealth.
- A desperate last gasp move to prevent Britain from leaving the EU and crushing the dream of a centralized European federation.
- More bailouts to prop up the euro.
- Minimal economic growth in 2013.
- Increasing the amount of power obtained by central banks under the guise of “bank reform”.
- Organizing more aggressive powers of tax collection
- Managing a growing credit bubble that threatens runaway inflation in Europe.

CPS Takes Baby After Parents Seek Second Medical Opinion

A Sacramento couple is without their 5 month old baby after Child Protective Services sent in the police to forcibly remove the child from their care.
A hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 29, 2013 on the incident which was triggered when Anna Nikolayev and her husband Alex took baby Sammy out of Sutter Memorial Hospital and sought a second opinion at Kaiser Permanente, a rival hospital, for Sammy’s flu-like symptoms.
Anna and Alex were concerned about the quality of care baby Sammy was receiving at Sutter where he was admitted nearly two weeks ago. At one point, Anna questioned the antibiotics Sammy was being given and was alarmed that the nurse administering the treatment didn’t know why the child was receiving them. Anna claims that a doctor later said that Sammy should not have been receiving the medication.
When doctors began discussing the possibility of heart surgery, the parents decided to leave without a proper discharge in order to have the child examined elsewhere.
“If we got the one mistake after another, I don’t want to have my baby have surgery in the hospital where I don’t feel safe,” Anna said.
She added, ”We went from one hospital to another. We just wanted to be safe, that he is in good hands.”
While at Kaiser Permanente, the police showed up at the request of Sutter. The police told the parents that staff at Sutter had told them that the child was in such a bad state that, as Anna put it, “they thought that this baby is dying on our arms.”
After the police saw that baby Sammy was fine and examined medical records that clearly stated that Sammy was clinically safe to go home, they left.
The attending doctor at Kaiser said, “I do not have concern for the safety of the child at home with his parents.”
The next day, police came to Alex and Anna’s home.
Alex met them outside and was slammed against the wall and pushed to the ground.
His keys to the home were forcibly removed from him and the police entered the house to take the baby.
Anna’s home video of the incident shows police entering the home.
“I’m going to grab your baby, and don’t resist, and don’t fight me ok?” a Sacramento police officer is heard saying in the video.
News10 of Sacramento spoke with police on the situation and were told to talk to Child Protective Services. CPS said little about the case, only saying on Thursday, April 27 that the child was taken due to severe neglect. CPS spokesperson Laura McCasland said, ”We conduct a risk assessment of the child’s safety and rely heavily on the direction of health care providers.”
No additional details were provided.
Sammy is currently in “protective custody” at Sutter Memorial Hospital. Hospital officials refused to comment saying the case was with CPS and law enforcement and they would have to deliver a statement.
Alex sums up the situation well.
“It seems like parents have no right whatsoever,” he said.

A Sacramento couple is without their 5 month old baby after Child Protective Services sent in the police to forcibly remove the child from their care.
A hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 29, 2013 on the incident which was triggered when Anna Nikolayev and her husband Alex took baby Sammy out of Sutter Memorial Hospital and sought a second opinion at Kaiser Permanente, a rival hospital, for Sammy’s flu-like symptoms.
Anna and Alex were concerned about the quality of care baby Sammy was receiving at Sutter where he was admitted nearly two weeks ago. At one point, Anna questioned the antibiotics Sammy was being given and was alarmed that the nurse administering the treatment didn’t know why the child was receiving them. Anna claims that a doctor later said that Sammy should not have been receiving the medication.
When doctors began discussing the possibility of heart surgery, the parents decided to leave without a proper discharge in order to have the child examined elsewhere.
“If we got the one mistake after another, I don’t want to have my baby have surgery in the hospital where I don’t feel safe,” Anna said.
She added, ”We went from one hospital to another. We just wanted to be safe, that he is in good hands.”
While at Kaiser Permanente, the police showed up at the request of Sutter. The police told the parents that staff at Sutter had told them that the child was in such a bad state that, as Anna put it, “they thought that this baby is dying on our arms.”
After the police saw that baby Sammy was fine and examined medical records that clearly stated that Sammy was clinically safe to go home, they left.
The attending doctor at Kaiser said, “I do not have concern for the safety of the child at home with his parents.”
The next day, police came to Alex and Anna’s home.
Alex met them outside and was slammed against the wall and pushed to the ground.
His keys to the home were forcibly removed from him and the police entered the house to take the baby.
Anna’s home video of the incident shows police entering the home.
“I’m going to grab your baby, and don’t resist, and don’t fight me ok?” a Sacramento police officer is heard saying in the video.
News10 of Sacramento spoke with police on the situation and were told to talk to Child Protective Services. CPS said little about the case, only saying on Thursday, April 27 that the child was taken due to severe neglect. CPS spokesperson Laura McCasland said, ”We conduct a risk assessment of the child’s safety and rely heavily on the direction of health care providers.”
No additional details were provided.
Sammy is currently in “protective custody” at Sutter Memorial Hospital. Hospital officials refused to comment saying the case was with CPS and law enforcement and they would have to deliver a statement.
Alex sums up the situation well.
“It seems like parents have no right whatsoever,” he said.

Lagarde and others are all coming out on the wire today and saying Cyprus isn’t
a template, they are all lying?”
Sinclair: “Yes. Today the European Union and Monetary
Commissioner Olli Rehn also said the Cyprus model can be completely ruled out
and it will never considered again. But if it isn’t an indication, why is this
model being picked up in so many other countries?
We do know that Bernanke
and Draghi took exception to what Lagarde and the IMF orchestrated in Cyprus,
there is no question about that. The bottom line here is that Lagarde and the
Dutch Finance Minister let the Cyprus model out of the bag too early, and what
it has created is extreme fear on the part of depositors which could turn into
chaos.
Bernanke and Draghi also
took exception when the Dutch Finance Minister declared the action in Cyprus to
be a template for further use. The statement by Lagarde and others today is
simply a follow-through of the Dutch Finance Minister’s backpedal. Both
Bernanke and Draghi were upset because this template was brought to light in a
situation which did not merit it.
In truth, you can’t use
Cyprus as the template. If the major savings of the citizens of industrialized
nations are subject to any degree of confiscation, it will completely destroy
the confidence that has been created at the cost of trillions of dollars. This
is the feeling that general depositors are safe. If they reverse that, this
whole thing will implode.”
Eric King: “Jim, when
you say, ‘implode,’ can you give readers around the world an idea of what we
would see?”
Sinclair: “What you would see is depositors withdrawing
their money from every bank they can. In essence this would be the mother of
all bank runs. They would take their money out of the system. But nobody in
their right mind will maintain significant deposits in light of the possibility
of confiscation.
So central planners are
now between a rock and a hard place. Cyprus has placed us into a lack of
definition. What Mrs. Lagarde and others are attempting to do right now is make
this situation go away.”
Eric King: “This was
from John Embry earlier today in his KWN interview: ‘You can’t create more and
more debt, which is required to get economic activity moving forward at a
decent pace. They will try, but ultimately it will reflect itself in inflation.
So what we potentially face is the first global move toward hyperinflation in
world history.’ John believes this move to create velocity in money could blow
up in their face.”
Sinclair: “It can blow up in their face because money
moving on fear will only make a move once. Velocity of money requires that the
money be moved multiple times, and deal with items of Gross Domestic Product
(GDP).
Items of Gross Domestic
Product are all that is measured in the velocity of money, and running money
from an account and into gold isn’t going to have any impact on velocity of
money except to make it disappear. It will be hidden because it will be running
from fear of confiscation. That’s a fact. It will take the velocity of money
straight to the floor, followed by a crisis of confidence that would then take
the velocity of money to historic highs or global hyperinflation.
But global
hyperinflation in these circumstances will only develop out of a significant,
if not total loss of confidence in the US dollar. When the US Dollar Index is
back under .72 the world will be flirting with hyperinflation. It’s all about
confidence.”
Eric King: “How do
central planners maneuver on the chess board going forward when any misstep can
result in tremendous destruction or hyperinflation?”
Sinclair: “You would think the answer to that would be
extremely carefully. But those who are in power have tremendous egos, and in
the case of Mrs. Lagarde, seem not to be in control.
So what we have been
talking about is a breakdown amongst central planners. This is the downside of
globalism. Everybody affects everybody else in the Western financial world, and
what we have just witnessed is a horrendous misstep in the parade of central
planners.
When you see that
Lagarde, the European Union and Monetary Commissioner Olli Rehn, as well as
others are backpedaling, it means that there is division. It means that they
may have stepped out of order and everybody is not in agreement. This also
reveals a major chink in the armor of central planners and clearly shows they
are overrated, and maybe critically overrated.
I guarantee you these
people don’t have a clue in hell as to how to proceed from here. But Bernanke
and Draghi want to keep what they have bought. They went into the store of
globalism and spent trillions of dollars, but they did buy confidence in bank deposits.
If they feel that
confidence in bank deposits is seriously challenged, they want out. They spent
trillions of dollars to buy confidence in the financial system. If Cyprus is an
outline of future plans and activities, then all of that money will have been
wasted because confidence will in fact be destroyed.
If the major theft of
bank deposits is repeated at any point in the future it will happen without any
warning and it will happen over a weekend. Meaning, on Monday morning US and
Canadian accounts will be hit and people in North America will simply be
shocked that their wealth has been stolen.”

This is not difficult to figure out from the facts on where the money is going. It is also not difficult to figure out what's going to happen if we don't cut that crap out. Virtually the entire problem is found in just two programs, one of which is Social Security and the other is Medical entitlements.
Social Security's biggest problem is in fact disability, which is massively overstuffed and must be fixed. The actual pension plan is reasonably close to actuarial soundness and by indexing the full retirement age to longevity it would be ok. In about 20-30 years its expenses will begin to decline naturally.
If we do not resolve this problem within the next couple of years we are finished as a nation.
And we do not have much time either, because the laws of arithmetic set forth exactly what is going to happen if we do not act, and the longer we wait the worse the damage will be.
While the Fed fiddles, Congress burns. Self-titled fiscal hawks like Paul D. Ryan, the chairman of the House Budget Committee, are terrified of telling the truth: that the 10-year deficit is actually $15 trillion to $20 trillion, far larger than the Congressional Budget Office’s estimate of $7 trillion. Its latest forecast, which imagines 16.4 million new jobs in the next decade, compared with only 2.5 million in the last 10 years, is only one of the more extreme examples of Washington’s delusions.Yep. And yet the solution to this problem in the intermediate and longer term is not all that complicated -- garrote the medical industry.

These policies have brought America to an end-stage metastasis. The way out would be so radical it can’t happen. It would necessitate a sweeping divorce of the state and the market economy. It would require a renunciation of crony capitalism and its first cousin: Keynesian economics in all its forms. The state would need to get out of the business of imperial hubris, economic uplift and social insurance and shift its focus to managing and financing an effective, affordable, means-tested safety net.Yep.
